The Martin Family

After several years of much prayer and careful consideration John and Helen Martin, with their children, left the security of their Mennonite community in Pennsylvania and moved to Redhill Road just south of Woodbury in Cannon County Tennessee. It was an uncertain future but God was faithful to meet each need. The Martins erected a small greenhouse to grow vegetable plants for the 18 acres they planned to farm. The year was 1982 and the vegetables grown that first summer were sold at flea markets, farmers markets, local stores and door to door. Near the end of the harvest season, 1982, John Martin with his sons established the Martin Mini Barn Company. The whole family was involved and before long, plant, vegetable and barn sales were steady at the farm. More greenhouses soon went up to supply the demand for quality bedding and vegetable plants and more land was cleared for vegetable farming. By the fall of 1983 construction was begun on a new shop for the growing barn business.

About this same time the extended Martin family, back in Myerstown Pennsylvania started building fine hardwood furniture and called their dining room sets ‘Keystone Collections’. Glenn Martin was not satisfied to be among the best craftsmen in America. His goals, to go beyond the best construction techniques, designs, styles and finishes and create heirlooms comparable to no other, soon brought him recognition among fine furniture seekers everywhere. Today, with more than 150 retail locations nationwide and rapidly expanding each year, it is evident Glen has reached his goals but never simply satisfied with past success he spends hours designing and developing new and unique products for his unsurpassed Keystone lines. We are proud to present his unrivaled works of art here at Martin Furniture!

From a parking space at Roses Flea Market in 1982 to six acres on Broad Street in 2009, the Martins have truly been blessed by God. Not only playing an active role in the Rutherford County community; they also operate eight greenhouses and a thriving barn building business at the home place on Redhill Road.

The Martins have established a second retail furniture outlet (Amish Excellence) at ‘The Factory’ in Franklin Tennessee. Martin’s bedding plants, shrubbery, barns and home furnishings are well represented at Martin Furniture, Martin Construction and Martin’s Home & Garden on Broad Street in Murfreesboro. Offering goods and services such as Home and Garden Plants and Décor, Home Grown Produce, Home Made Baked Goods and Apple Cider, the Martins have built a reputation for The Best Quality at a fair price. The Simple Truth

The Bible tells of God’s love for us in John 3:16. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. If you realize you have sinned (For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23) and there is no way to get to heaven except through Jesus, (...for there is none other name…whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12) simply tell Jesus, as you would talk to a friend, that you realize you are a sinner and you understand that He died for you and you want to be saved, He will save you! It is really that simple to be saved. (For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13)
